Thousands of pounds of tools stolen from Torr Quarry, £500 reward offered for information

A £500 reward has been offered for any information relating to the theft of thousands of pounds worth of tools over the weekend.

Eliot Eglington posted images from CCTV of people thought to be involved in the theft from a shed and a boat at Tor Quarry Industrial Estate,  which took place on Saturday night.

The CCTV apparently shows three people leaving at 9pm and then a van arriving at 10.45pm.

Eliot said: "One of them pulls his hood over face when he looks at the camera. It's possible it was not these guys but they are strong suspects. It's possible they approached the site from the Woodleigh area as they were not seen arriving."

The people in the footage seem to be carrying metal detectors, something that Eliot thinks might be to "not raise suspicions" about why they are out and about late at night. He said that they are "apparently quite expensive detectors" so they might also use them as a hobby.
