If you want to give your confidence an extra boost this spring, look no further than South Hams Aesthetics.

South Hams Aesthetics is run by Vikki Ayers, an NHS nurse who wanted to take different approach to her goal of empowering women and giving them their confidence back.

Vikki Ayers

Vikki explained: "I started South Hams Aesthetics two years ago. I was starting to see my own face changing slowly and started thinking about aesthetics and whether that was something I was going to be interested in. I found a love for It and being able to stay in a profession I love, staying hands on and clinical whilst continuing to
make a difference to my patients, just in a slightly different way from traditional nursing.”

“I thought that with my background as a nurse, that would stand me, and my clients, in good stead!”

Vikki can provide clients with anti-wrinkle injections, dermal fillers for lip, cheek, jaw and chin, among many others. Her current favourite treatments are skin boosters, that she explains are like amazing “injectable moisturisers” to make the skin look healthier and fresher.

She can also provide polynucleotides (fish DNA) that she affirms “are part of the cutting edge trend of regenerative treatments. They aid skin to repair, rejuvenate and can battle those stubborn under eye dark circles, scaring, skin discolouration and fine lines.

"I have had some great results with these treatments in clinic.”

Vikki is especially keen to reach women who are perimenopausal or menopausal and help them regain their confidence, which often slips when hormone levels change.

“We all have fat pads in our faces”, Vikki explained, “as we age and as women we go through menopause, those fat pads move and gravity can take over, causing a drooping look and jowls. By just replacing the volume in those areas, you can reverse the symptoms and leave you looking well and fully rested.”

It is not all injections either, Vikki explained, “I can provide clients with medical grade skin care following a consultation These products are provided by medical professionals, as you can’t buy otherwise due to the active ingredients being in high enough concentrations to make them effective.

South Hams Aesthetics prides itself on “natural enhancements” and “subtle” improvements, with Vikki saying that clients won’t get the ‘fake look’ from her. “Everything is word-of-mouth in aesthetics”, Vikki explained, “Not only do I want my clients to feel the best they can feel, but also I will only put my name to enhancements I am proud of.”

With her nursing background, Vikki is in the perfect place to be trusted with your face and your health, as well as being more than capable in any emergency situation that might arise.

Vikki runs her clinic from Modbury currently and is looking forward to opening her own location in Kingsbridge very soon.
