Kingsbridge Town Council has warned of potential flooding this week
Kingsbridge Town Council is expecting a "succession of high tides of five meters and above" from this evening until Monday.
The high tides in both the mornings and evenings from Tuesday evening, 15 October, through to Monday morning, 21 October have the potential to being flooding to Ilbert Road, Bridge Street and Mill Street.
The highest tides to watch out for are as follows:
- Thursday, 17 October, 1800-1930 (5.5m)
- Friday, 18 October, 0615-0745 (5.5m) and 1845-2015 (5.6m)
- Saturday, 19 October, 0700-0830 (5.5m)

A spokesperson for Kingsbridge Town Council said: "From experience, the areas that are most likely to flood are lower Ilbert Road by the Bus Station, Bridge Street and Mill Street. Please navigate around these locations and plan your day, if possible, to avoid driving at these times.
"If you believe you or your business may be at risk and you need sandbags, we can help. Please contact reception at KTC on telephone 01548 853296 to collect on weekdays between 9.30am and 1pm.
"Double check drains outside your homes to make sure they are clear of debris etc. and make sure you don’t park your cars over drains as well.
