The little train in Kingsbridge was derailed twice and the driver was harassed while running the service yesterday.

Steve Mammatt, Kingsbridge and District Light Railway Company, took to social media to explain what happened yesterday, Tuesday, 8 April.

Steve said: "Yesterday, four boys decided they were going to derail the train whilst it was carrying passengers.

"They also rode their bikes at speed along the pavement, deliberately trying to halt the train with adult and children passengers on board. They succeeded in derailing the train twice but fortunately no injuries were incurred.

"The driver was harassed to a point where he felt it was unsafe to continue running the train.

"If you were a witness to this shocking behaviour please call the police on 101 and add to the report."

We have contacted Devon and Cornwall Police for a comment, and we will update the story as soon as we can.
