Local gym hands over donations to Salcombe RNLI

Marvel Fitness in Kingsbridge raised £450 for Salcombe RNLI at the recent Rural Rumble 2 boxing show at Malborough Village Hall. 

Aaron Ryder, owner of Marvel Fitness, called it a "pleasure" to hand over the money raised through the raffle at their recent Rural Rumble 2 boxing event.

Aaron said: "What a pleasure it was to finally hand over the raffle prize money raised for the brave and dedicated men and woman down at Salcombe RNLI.  

"We usually raise money for a local children's cause or school, but hearing the RNLI had hit their 200-year mark was just too special not to get involved and support them.

"We have the great fortune of being surrounded by beautiful water, but this can also be very dangerous. Luckily, we have these selfless people ready and waiting to take action if any unfortunate circumstances should arise."

He thanked "all the people who attended the annual charity boxing event and bought a ticket for the raffle prizes donated by your local, generous small business owners".
