Man is given CPR by two members of the public in Kingsbridge
Two members of the public performed CPR on a man in Kingsbridge today, before he was transported to hospital.
The man collapsed outside Boots in Kingsbridge today, Wednesday, 22 February, and people in the vicinity worked together to give first aid and helped where they could.
There were also reports on social media that while many people assisted the person, one individual was filming the situation on their phone.
Kingsbridge Police said: "Massive thanks to all who came to help including those who provided initial life support. Our thoughts remain with the family at this difficult time."
A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: “We were called at 12.13pm on Wednesday, 22 February, to an incident in Kingsbridge. We sent a first responder, an operations officer, two double-crewed land ambulances and an air ambulance. We conveyed one patient to Derriford Hospital by air ambulance.”
We hope the man is OK and our thoughts are with all those involved.
