Print off posters to display if you want to avoid trick-or-treaters this Halloween

Devon and Cornwall Police have produced posters to print off and display in your windows to alert others that you don't want to participate in Trick-or-Treating this year.

Not everyone celebrates Halloween and not everyone is comfortable with having people knocking on their door, so Devon and Cornwall Police have produced a poster for people to print out and display in a window so people know that you don't want to participate.

Here are some tips for making sure you celebrate in a fun and safe way:

  • Young children should always be accompanied by an adult when trick-or-treating
  • Not everyone celebrates Halloween – only visit houses of people you know and those who are open to having trick-or-treaters
  • If you’re wearing a mask make sure you can see where you are going and are aware of your surroundings, especially when crossing the road
  • Consider bringing a torch with you and wearing something that is going to make you highly visible – Halloween is a great opportunity to try out glow in the dark face paints or clothing.

You can find the poster to print off on the Devon and Cornwall Police website HERE
