Buckfastleigh Fire Crew were called out on Saturday February 19 to a female driver who had flipped her car onto its roof.

A spokesperson for Buckfastleigh Fire Station reported,

"Today at 13:30 we were called to a report of a multiple vehicle road traffic collision on arrival we found one vehicle on its roof and the driver safely out of the car.
Crews made the vehicle safe and removed debris from the highway whilst a BASICS doctor on scene assessed the driver and she was then able to continue her way home".

it's incredibly lucky that on this occasion nobody was hurt. However there has been speculation that it is a common occurrence in the area and that aquaplaning might be to blame. One member of the public commented,

"...That's the aquaplaning stretch claiming another victim isn't it. Thank goodness it wasn't worse..."

A big thank you to the team at Buckfastleigh Fire Station for coming to the rescue again - what a wonderful job they do at it too.
