Fire crews attend van fire
Plympton Fire Station attended a van on fire on the junction of Ridgeway and New Park Road on Sunday.
Fire control received a couple of calls to a van on fire on the junction of Ridgeway and New Park Road in Plympton at around 8.25am on 23 April.
A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Once on scene, crews confirmed one transit styled van was well alight. Crews got to work extinguishing fire using two breathing apparatus and onw hose reel jet.
"Police were in attendance assisting with road closures whilst crews dealt with the fire. Crews confirmed they were at work with environmental kit to prevent fuel entering nearby drains."
The final update came at around 4.30pm when the incident was closed and the fire was confirmed to be accidental.
Crews requested highways to attend to clear debris from road. The incident was left with Police.
