Horse kicks hole in horsebox, closes road

A horse caused a road closure at Harbertonford after kicking a hole in its horsebox. 

The A381 was closed at Harbertonford this afternoon, Wednesday, 16 August, after a horse kicked a hole in its horsebox. 

A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "The road is closed due to a horse on the road. The road is closed so that the animal can be safely moved to a horsebox."

Unconfirmed reports state that the animal was sedated and moved to another horsebox. 

The road reopened at around 4pm.
