At 5pm on Friday March 4 there will be vigil held on Kingsbridge Town Square for anyone affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

A spokesperson for Kingsbridge Town Council wrote,
"Many people are feeling helpless at present as they witness the unbearable events unfolding in Eastern Europe and this gathering is an opportunity for the Kingsbridge community to come together as one and stand in solidarity with the people of Ukraine. You may wish to dress in blue and yellow, light candles, bring daffodils or balloons and make your own placards.
The vigil will be addressed by Mike Jennings, Town Mayor, and Reverend Jackie Taylor will lead us into a time of silence as we hold Ukraine in our thoughts and hearts.
Everyone is encouraged to attend as Kingsbridge Stands With Ukraine."
