Ivybridge man charged with manslaughter and coercive and controlling behaviour

A man is due to appear in court following the death of a woman in Plymouth in December 2022.

Melanie Jordan, 37, died at Derriford Hospital on 19 December 2022 after being located unresponsive at a property in the city days earlier.

Jamie Jordan, 35, of Primrose Close, Ivybridge, has been postal requisitioned to appear in court in relation to alleged offences of manslaughter and controlling/coercive behaviour in an intimate/family relationship.

He is due to appear at Plymouth Magistrates’ Court on 11 November.
