A group of young people from Kingsbridge Guides and Scouts have recently competed in the Hurdlestone Challenge and come away with the top prize.
The Hurdlestone Challenge saw 82 teams of Guides and Scouts from all over Devon, where they competed against each other in a route of eight to 10 miles with 15 'bases' or challenges including archery, first aid, gun runs and shooting for points.
Scouts from Sixth Kingsbridge (both Sea and Land Troop), First Modbury and First Dartmouth and Kingswear, along with Guides from Second Kingsbridge and Dartmouth joined Scouts and Guides from across Devon.
Second Kingsbridge Guides were a base winner, as were Sixth Kingsbridge Land Scouts and Sixth Kingsbridge Sea Scouts were overall winners and third place.
Hurdlestone Challenge co-chairs and camp chiefs, Graham and Lynn, said: "On behalf of the whole Hurdlestone Challenge Committee, we’d like to say a massive well done and congratulations to everyone involved in Hurdlestone 2023.
"Each and every one of you on site helped make this years Hurdlestone a massive success so thank you."
