A man in his 50s has died in Totnes today.

Emergency services were called to Civic Square on High Street, Totnes, at 12.40pm following reports of concern for the welfare of a man.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "A man in his 50s was confirmed deceased at the scene.

"His next of kin have been informed.

“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
