Questionaire about new Totnes skatepark aims to collect local users' views
The proposed new skate park is designed by Maverick Skateparks, who are now asking for local riders' views on the project.
Maverick Skateparks invites local users to answer a questionaire about the proposed park, which you can find HERE.

The survey explains: "The facility comprises two main areas; The Street Facility and Flowbowl. All routes around the skatepark are designed to link up when the facility is quiet, conversely, they can be used as separate, independent areas when the park is busy. Subtly segregating the space into different zones will enable larger numbers of people to use the space at the same time, safely.
"This facility has not been diluted in terms of features, flowlines and rolling space. Both spaces will provide challenges for riders who are keen to attempt more technically difficult tricks on the elements within the design. In our experience, local riders will quickly progress to a level where they can enjoy the whole space. We would not recommend designing a facility that runs the risk of becoming dull or unchallenging over time."
The Totnes Skatepark Community, who have been working for a new skatepark in the town since 2012, released the questionnaire that needs to be completed by 8 June. After a month long consultation, a "targeted design workshop" will be held with a "small group of skaters and partners", and then the final design will be presented at a public event in July.
That design will then be included in an application for planning permission and "once planning permission is achieved, we can work on securing the remaining funds needed to build the skatepark".
