Surfers Against Sewage alerts for sewage pollution in the South Hams

Surfers Against Sewage's interactive map has alerted with warnings of sewage pollution in Salcombe and Bigbury-on-Sea.

The charity Surfers Against Sewage has an interactive map that alerts when there are recent pollution incidents and the entire south coast is looking particularly risky.

In the South Hams, the beaches that appear to be affected are Mothercombe and South Sands.

Surfers Against Sewage posted on Twitter to call on water companies to "clean up their act".

You can check the water quality before you visit a beach by visiting the Surfers Against Sewage website HERE
