Police appeal for witnesses after serious collision near Stumpy Post

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious injury road traffic collision on the A381 near Kingsbridge.

Officers were called at around 6.15pm on Sunday, 6 September, to the A381 between Palegate Cross and Leigh Cross, Kingsbridge to a collision involving a white Hyundai i10 and a grey Kia EV9.

The driver of the Hyundai, a 69-year-old woman, sustained life-threatening injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital.

The driver of the Kia was taken to Torbay Hospital with minor injuries.

The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene and was reopened at around 3am on Monday, 7 September.

Officers from the Roads Policing team would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
