Dog owners urged to keep pets on leads as another sheep is attacked
Dog owners are reminded that it is lambing season and dogs should be kept on leads around livestock as another ewe is attacked.
Martin Pearse took to social media yesterday after one of his pedigree Zwartbles Shearling ewes was attacked by a dog.
He said: "I hope you can sleep with a clear conscience knowing you let your animal clearly savage my sheep and leave it lying where your dog attacked it."
The attack took place at Wood Barton, Woodleigh, at some point before Martin found the sheep at 3pm on Monday, 10th April.
Martin said DNA swabs had been taken and is urging anyone with information to contact the police, which you can do by calling 101 or by emailing
The ewe was taking indoors where she was receiving medication and "round the clock care".
