Following the withdrawal of the Friday-only bus service 875, the F7 Fare Car Service has been launched to serve the community around Ivybridge.

The F7 Fare Car Service is being introduced to serve the communities of Modbury, Ivybridge, St Ann's Chapel, Bigbury, Bigbury-on-Sea, Challaborough, Kingston, Ringmore, Ermington, Ludbrook and Ugborough.

Ivybridge Town Council shared the news, saying: "This demand responsive taxi 'Fare Car' Scheme will operate on a Friday only and will take passengers to Ivybridge and home again.

"The service will start on Friday, 14 April, although we have arranged for a one-off service on Thursday, 6 April, due to the Easter Weekend and public holiday on Good Friday."

Fare Car is a public transport service operated by private hire cars, run by Ivy Cabs. Passengers book and pay separately but share the advertised timetabled journeys and is available to anyone in the area.

In order to use Fare Car, you can book your place with 24 hours notice by calling 01752 895555 between 8am and 5pm. You will be given an approximate pick-up time - please be ready as this is a shared service and other passengers may need to be picked up en route.

It has fixed arrival/departure times and points in town but runs door-to-door in rural areas.
