KATS asking for your vote to win competition with open event for everyone to join in

KATS are entering a TicketService competition to win £1,000 towards their funds by organising a "fun-filled afternoon of singing and dancing". 

Kingsbridge Amateur Theatrical Society, KATS, is organising a recruitment campaign to find new actors and backstage help for their team as a bid to win the TicketService competition that is aiming to give a community group "the chance to win £1,000 to help fund their next community event". 

The plan is to put on the musical Joseph and "run a workshop to engage the community in singing and dancing, to find new talent" along with a professional musician and choreographer on Sunday, 4 June. 

A spokesperson said: "KATS have been entertaining audiences for 121 years. Our aim is to continue to provide for our community, enabling local talent to flourish, developing skills, enhancing well-being through friendships and teamwork and producing high-quality theatre for residents to enjoy.

"This workshop event hopes to entice more locals to get involved in grassroots theatre at a time when life is tough, we want to reach out and show that being together strengthens community and mental well-being." 

The winner (1st) of the TicketSource Community Event Fund will win £1,000, the runner-up (2nd) will win £500, third-place (3rd) will win £250, the remaining top seven (4-10) entries will each win £100 to help fund their next community event.
