What makes the Dartmouth Food Festival so special is the wide range of events, parties and tastings we offer over the three days and nights of the Festival itself. We change the offer each year, but we always aim to have a programme which appeals to experienced and knowledgeable ‘foodies’, visitors from outside our area, and to those who want to hone their culinary basics. We ensure that some events are free of charge.
Our real aim is to showcase the best that the South West has to offer – from Ashridge Cider and Cornish Seasalt through to the Devon Scone Company and South Devon Chilli Farm. We also want to shout about our award winning restaurants (The Seahorse, The Elephant in Torquay and the Millbrook Inn, South Pool, to name but a few) and their amazing chefs. Without being too biased, we probably have the most award winning chefs per square foot than anywhere else in the country. And with an abundance of locally-produced, high quality ingredients and a growing reputation for world-class food, Dartmouth is the perfect setting for what has been described as a ‘feast for the senses’.
