Hope Cove Weekend will go ahead without the firework display unless £5,000 can be raised.

Hope Cove Weekend, which takes place on August Bank Holiday, usually has a spectacular fireworks display as one of the main attractions, but this year “ongoing pressures on businesses and an increase in costs” is calling the display into question.

Organisers have set up a GoFundMe donation page in order to raise the £5,000 needed to put the display on this year.

A spokesperson for Hope Cove Weekend said: “ If you’ve ever enjoyed the display, want to experience it this weekend or even just want to support a fantastic community event coming out of the pandemic then we are asking for your support. Every bit counts, thank you!”
