A retaining wall has collapsed on the Lock's Hill development site in Kingsbridge.
The Lock's Hill site off Derby Road in Kingsbridge has been beset by issues, and today a retaining wall fell down, with local residents concerned for the safety of workers on site and the nearby scout hut.
Comments on the 'Save Lock's Hill' Facebook group said that the wall was being backfilled with earth when it gave way, with many people giving their concerns about the safety of the workers on site.

A spokesperson for South Hams District Council said: "We are aware of the incident that allegedly took place at Garden Mill, known locally as Lock’s Hill, in Kingsbridge earlier today. The Health and Safety Executive – who are responsible for health and safety on building sites – have been notified.
"We fully recognise the concerns of local residents and the wider community and are actively pursuing a range of enforcement actions to resolve the situation on the site."
John Freeland of the developer Blakesley Estates said: "The Beton blocks are a temporary retaining wall solution, (albeit an excellent one), fully designed by our Structural Engineers.
"The blocks are being moved around the site to suit short-term retaining wall needs on site.
"The Scout Hut is unaffected by any temporary retaining wall works that are ongoing to support the adjoining gardens at the top of the site.
"The land behind the Scout hut is fully supported by an engineer-designed Beton block wall, installed some months ago."
