The Great Hall Craft Fair
Set against the stunning backdrop of Dartington’s Grade I listed buildings, the annual Christmas Makers Fayre transforms the medieval courtyard and surrounding areas into a festive haven filled with seasonal sights, sounds and aromas. This year’s event is the largest yet, with an expanded range of stalls offering everything from ceramics and jewellery to textiles, woodcraft, artisan food and contemporary design - ideal for finding both thoughtful stocking fillers and standout gifts.
But the fayre is far more than a shopping trip. The entire estate is alive with festive energy, with choirs and singers filling the air with carols, children’s entertainment such as a Christmas obstacle course, and plenty of delicious food from The White Hart and street vendors. Visitors can also simply wander and enjoy the beautifully dressed historic spaces, which are a treat to explore at this time of year.
More than just a market, the Dartington Christmas Makers Fayre celebrates creativity, community spirit and seasonal joy. With high-quality stalls, live music, great food and family-friendly activities, it’s a wonderful way to welcome the festive season with those you love.
