Bantham Estates have announced that the estate has been sold to Chilton Home Farms.

Bantham Estates published on their social media that they were "thrilled" to announce the sale of the estate to Chilton Home Farms, a "farming company owned by the Aubrey-Fletcher family".

The statement continued: "The family has visited Bantham for many years and is excited to look after this very special part of the South Hams.

"The Bantham Estate is a truly unique gem, celebrated for its stunning beauty and important estuary ecosystem, in the [South Devon National Landscape].

"We look forward to working with the parish council, conservation bodies and the local community to protect this magical corner of Devon. ❤️"

Save Bantham, a group that grew up from concerned local people from the first time Bantham went on the market, have said they "support the new owners' aim to protect this magical corner of Devon".
