A car ended up on its roof after a single car collision on the A379 in Stokenham. 

Police were called just after 6.20pm yesterday, 3 August, following a single-car collision on the A379 at Stokenham, near to The Church House Inn. 

The car came to rest on its roof.

A spokesperson from Devon and Cornwall Police said: "Fire and ambulance crews also attended the scene, where emergency services helped remove the female driver from the car.

"She was taken to Torbay District Hospital to be checked over.

"The A379 was closed while the incident was dealt with and reopened at around 9.45pm."
