Two fire crews battled a car fire on the A38 today.

Buckfastleigh and Ivybridge Fire Crews attended a vehicle fire on the A38 near South Brent after being called just before midday on Friday, 18 March.

A spokesperson for Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said: "Crews used two breathing apparatus and a hosereel jet to extinguish the fire and absorbent pads from our environmental kits to prevent oil contamination of the surrounding area. The fire was extinguished by 1.30pm."

The cause of the fire was accidental.
