People across the South Hams came together to remember the fallen as Remembrances Services take place across the district.

We attended the Remembrance event in Dartmouth, where hundreds of people attended the Remembrance Service led by Reverend Dr Andrew Langley.

Local groups and organisations laid wreaths, the Britannia Royal Naval College cadets were in attendance and the The Britannia Royal Naval College Volunteer Band provided the soundtrack.

Across the South Hams, there were parades and Remembrance Services in Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Ivybridge and Totnes.

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old:
Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn.
At the going down of the sun and in the morning
We will remember them."

- Laurence Binyon
