A new youth club is starting in East Allington, for children and young people in the surrounding area.

In a partnership with the parish church and Kingsbridge Youth For Christ, a weekly youth club evening will take place at the village hall from 7pm-8.30pm on Friday, 8 October.

One of the organisers, Charlie Edgeler, said: “For some time, there’s been nothing really for our village children and young people and we are starting a Youth Club with a blank page.

“We've got games, a pool table, a table tennis table is on it's way, and there will be a tuck shop too!”

Charlie explained that the club will be for children and young people in Year 6 and above and they “want the children to tell us what they’d like and we’ll do our very best”.

The Kingsbridge Youth For Christ ‘Youth Bus’ has been at the recreation ground in East Allington on Wednesday afternoons from around 3.30pm-4.45pm, and they will continue to be there every week up to half term.
