Maha Bharat - Bengali and Indian Restaurant and Take-Away - Kingsbridge

Another recommendation that lived up to its billing.
The menu is enormous and according to the lovely chap who was running front-of-house, has benefitted from the many chefs who have worked there over the years.
Originating from the curry heartlands of the Midlands (Digbeth to be precise) but now decidedly established in Kingsbridge, this restaurant really understand how to give the diner exactly what they want.
The staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable, giving great recommendations and advice. Two absolute stand out dishes for us were the Methi Lamb & the Chicken Chettinadu, both superbly spiced with great depth of flavours.
The place has a nice modern vibe, with interestingly lit wall-art. It is spacious and feels very comfortable.
After we’d finished our meal, we had a fair time before our taxi was due to pick us up, but we were made to feel welcome to stay and weren’t rushed at all.
Lovely place, superb food - we’ll be back.
