Second visit to this lovely hotel - this time in a group of ten friends. Extremely well run and staff were all helpful and efficient. Relaxed atmosphere. In the process of a big extension build when we were here but that did not affect us. We all had sea view rooms with four couples having balconies. The views are stunning so it is worth having a balcony room. As to the food - well - how can I start to describe it ? Five courses on offer - none of us could get as far as the fifth course. When the sweet trolley comes round it is laden with so many choices - all delicious. We only stayed 4 nights and wish we could have stayed longer - although our clothes would never have fitted ! The only thing we didn't like was nothing to do with the hotel - it was the very narrow lanes in the area - only one car width in places. Loads to see in Salcombe area (4 miles) and around. Didn't get to try the new lobster cafe in the pods - next time we will.
