A dog was rescued by firefighters after a decking caught fire in Plympton. 

Plympton and Crownhill Fire Crews were called to a decking on fire in the Plympton area on Sunday night.

When they arrived they discovered that the blaze has spread to the house, which was "well alight". 

Two more fire engines were requested. 

All occupants were free from the building and one dog was rescued by firefighters in breathing apparatus.
