Fusion Lifestyle is searching for their South Hams Community Champion, and reward them with a free family leisure membership. 

Do you know a Community Champion? Someone who goes above and beyond to help their local community? Fusion Lifestyle, the charity that manages leisure facilities in South Hams is "giving you the chance to nominate an unsung hero to win a year’s free leisure membership".

So, if you know a volunteer, a fundraiser, a sports coach, or a member of the community who deserves recognition, and the chance to take a bit of time for themselves at one of Fusion’s leisure centres with the prize of a free annual membership.

A spokesperson for Fusion Lifestyle said: "Community Champions come in all guises and we’re honouring your unsung heroes.

"With Ivybridge, Dartmouth, Quayside and Totnes Leisure Centres to choose from they will be able to enjoy swimming, the gym, group exercise classes, racquet sports and more, all right on their doorstep.  

"And with friendly staff on hand at all our centres, they will be welcomed and encouraged as they find an activity they love to help with their fitness and wellbeing."

Winners will be invited along to Fusion’s Big Event Day on 30 September to be presented with their prize. The events, taking place at Fusion centres, will see doors opened to the public to enjoy tasters of different activities and to take part in the brand new Sportaneous Challenge, at the same time raising money for a local charity.

Anthony Cawley, Fusion Lifestyle CEO, said: “We are a nation of unsung heroes and at Fusion we think it’s time some of the country’s Community Champions were recognised and rewarded for their efforts. We can’t wait to hear about some of the inspirational people out there giving back to their communities and to play our part in giving them a small thank you!”

So, if you know a worthy Community Champion complete this form and submit your nomination by 22 September. Terms and conditions apply. Full details of Fusion’s Big Event Day and Sportaneous Challenge will be available in the next few weeks on each centre’s website and social media.
