Nine Kingsbridge Community College students were given a day out at Outside Devon thanks to a grant and a local non-profit.

South Hams Area Wellbeing organised a day at Outside Devon in Bantham for nine Year 8 and 9 Kingsbridge Community College students with thanks to the Normal Family Charitable Trust.

A spokesperson for SHAW posted on social media said: "They designed and built their own skateboards, had lunch in the cafe, then had tuition in skateboarding. Most of them had never been on a skateboard before, but by the end of the day they all tackled the very large and complicated skate bowl confidently. Well done to the students and everybody at Outside."

The Norman Family Charitable Trust has been supporting charities and other non-profit groups in the South West of England since 1979 and has awarded over 11,000 grants totalling over £11 million.
