Kingsbridge man who died on the A38 is named at inquest
The man who died on the A38 earlier this month has been named as 54-year-old Adam Grieg, as his inquest was opened.
The inquest heard how Mr Grieg was pronounced dead at the A38 at Dean Prior, Buckfastleigh, on 2 October, after reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a car towing a caravan. The road was closed for several hours.
The inquest into the death of Adam Grieg, of Beechwood Drive, Kingsbridge, was opened at Plymouth Coroner's Court today, Monday, 10 October.
It heard that Mr Grieg was single and a recruitment officer and his medical cause of death was "multiple injuries".
The opening statement, released following the hearing, senior coroner Ian Arrow noted: "Adam was stood on the A38 when he was in collision with a motor vehicle and caravan combination.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and no consideration of prosecuting the driver of the motor vehicle."
The full inquest into Mr Grieg's death will take place at a later date.
