A parrot has been rescued by fire fighters after getting stuck in a tree.

Kingsbridge Fire Station crew was alerted to the parrot's predicament on Sunday afternoon.

The bird was stuck 40ft (12m) up in a tree. When fire fighters got up to it, they found it's chain had ended up tangled in branches but it was swiftly rescued and returned to its owner "safe and sound".
