Salcombe will turn on their Christmas Lights next Tuesday after missing out last year.

Salcombe RNLI crew members joined other folk from the town on Sunday morning to ensure the town's Christmas lights were ready once again for the annual display.

Last year there was no official celebration due to the pandemic, so the town is looking forward to celebrating the lead up to Christmas on Tuesday, 7 December, at 6pm, when the lights will be officially switched on.

A spokesperson for Salcombe RNLI said: "As usual children from Salcombe Primary School and the Salcombe Gospel Choir will lend their voices to the evening’s celebrations.

"As always, a special thanks goes to the Salcombe Coffee Company for their support on Sunday, the bacon rolls and coffee supplied to the team of ‘light heads’ was well received on what was a very chilly day."
