A new executive taxi company has launched in the South Hams, in order to bring a touch of luxury to their clients’ travel plans.

Matthew Rapier, owner and operator, started the company 12 months ago after years of working for several large corporate companies and having trouble getting reliable airport transfers from his house in Avonwick

Matthew said: “When I was looking for a new challenge, I knew there was a gap in the market for a taxi company with a little ‘je ne sais que’South West Premier Travel is now that company.”

At South West Premier Travel you get better service, a better vehicle, a fully first-aid-trained driver and an extra air of discreet professionalism.

If you need to regularly travel to London, or back and forward to the major airports/seaports South West Premier Travel is the company you need to trust with your travel plans.

"The business has already forged a reputation for taking it up a notch”, explained Matthew, “We've been informed that we are that little bit more professional. We provide bottles of chilled still water and blankets for our clients and will go above and beyond to make sure our clients have the best possible journey.”

Matthew explained that at South West Premier Travel they are more of a moving concierge than a taxi driver: “At Christmas we had an elderly client who was going back to visit her family from Bristol airport and we organised with her family that we would escort her through departure and up to security to make sure she was safe and sound and staff were ready to look after her on her journey.”

South West Premier Travel and their seven-seater Mercedes R-class is a great alternative to London bound trains, with advantages such as - we are more competitively priced, there are no changes throughout your journey, you don’t have struggle through the train station with luggage, you don’t have to deal with crowds (especially post-Covid) and you get a door-to-door high quality and professional service.

The car is Wi-Fi enabled and South West Premier Travel also stocks a range of chargers too, so you can work on your phone during the journey, meaning you’re not missing any valuable time. A future upgrade to the vehicle will see aeroplane-like fold down tables installed to make laptop working even easier.

“We took one family to Gatwick to catch a flight for their skiing holiday”, Matthew explained, “so they had four loads of luggage, plus four bags of ski equipment which they did not want to have to haul all of that onto a train. We can just pop the whole lot in the boot and they can chat about their upcoming holiday while we get them to their destination smoothly and safely.”

South West Premier Travel provides its clients with a safe, smooth and stress free journey with Matthew priding himself on building a great relationship their clients which is built on reliability, trust and professionalism.

Matthew has future plans for the business with one being a dedicated booking app that clients can use to both make bookings and track progress of their vehicle. Not only does he want to provide a booking app, but he also wants to provide clients with dedicated specific tour dates where he will show the very best that the South Hams has to offer.

Matthew said: “We can facilitate the customers dream day; think champagne breakfast at Alfrescos in Dartmouth, a walk along Blackpool Beach and a cream tea in Torcross. I could drop the clients at Gara where they could have lunch with stunning sea views and then take a stroll along the coastal path to Millbay where I can be waiting for them in readiness to take them to gin tasting in Salcombe followed by dinner whilst watching the sun set at South Milton. Or maybe venture a little further and have a day exploring some of the hidden spots on Dartmoor? Anything is possible when you have your own personal chauffeur.

Ultimately, if you want something a little bit more than just a taxi to cater for your journey, call South West Premier Travel. Whatever your requirement might be they will be able to provide you with a safe reliable and professional journey.
