Blackawton Primary School is raising money for Kingsbridge and Dartmouth Foodbanks and School Library
Blackawton Primary School is holding a book fundraiser in aid of Kingsbridge and Dartmouth Foodbanks and the school library.
The children Blackawton Primary School are raising funds to refresh not only their own school library books but also to provide books to the Kingsbridge and Dartmouth Foodbanks as Christmas gifts for the children this year!
In partnership with Luna's Library, between 21 November and 5 December, Blackawton Primary School children will be carrying out a sponsored reading challenge, they will track how many minutes they have read over the duration of the read and have some optional challenges to complete along the way, such as read to your pet or read in an unusual place.
Charlotte Titterton, local Usborne partner Luna's Library, said: "We all know this year and next year have and will be a little tougher than usual, with some families being affected a lot worse than others. We would really appreciate you donating to this wonderful fundraiser, not only to provide a Christmas gift or some lovely fresh books for the school library but to encourage our young children to develop a love of reading."
Luna's Library will be providing an additional contribution of books on top of what is fundraised. Any fundraising £600+ will receive an additional top-up of 60 percent more books.
Charlotte added: "We really want to go for it and get the school and food bank children as many books as we can - we hope you are onboard!"
