Cuming Containers, established in the South Hams for over twenty years, provides environmentally conscious methods of waste disposal and recycling to the local trade and retail customers.

Trade Waste is handled at Torr Quarry Industrial Estate, East Allington, TQ9 7QQ (Just outside of Kingsbridge on the Totnes Road).

To achieve this the company has several alternative methods of waste disposal that range from normal skip hire, dumpy bags for smaller waste requirements to the Transfer Station where most types of waste are accepted in large or small loads and recycled wherever possible. We cover the South Hams area of Devon including Dartmouth, Totnes, Kingsbridge, Salcombe, Modbury and nearby villages.

SKIP HIRE

Cuming Containers are able to hire skips to both Trade and Retail customers within the South Hams Area, including Dartmouth, Kingsbridge, Kingswear, Modbury, Salcombe, Totnes etc.. We are able to offer a complete waste management service and are able to advise on and tailor a suitable system to satisfy your individual site requirements.

Skips are available from the small 2 cubic yard through the popular 6 cubic yard to the specialist requirements of enclosed 10 cubic yard skips. Waste placed in skips is categorised in three ways, either Mixed waste, which entitles the hirer to dispose of most items, Inert waste, which is defined as builder’s rubble and Green waste, which as the title implies is for vegetation and soil only.

The scale of charges differs depending on the size and type of waste, but our helpful and knowledgeable staff can advise on which skip to specify.

In a new initiative designed to help you meet your duty of care obligations Cuming Containers are pleased to be able to offer a new Bulk Bag for DIY, Garden and Household waste where limited space is an issue.

If your site or access is too small for the size of a conventional skip, we can supply bulk bags (90 X 90 X 90cms) capable of carrying a load of up to one tonne. We can also deliver aggregates in these bulk bags saving delivery costs. Our lorry, capable of lifting full bags over a hedge or wall, will collect these bags within 5 working days unless specified otherwise.

Cost per bag, delivered and collected within 12 mile radius of Kingsbridge is £POA including VAT (Outside 12 mile radius add £POA per mile)

TRANSFER STATION

Cuming Containers have constructed and operate a purpose built Transfer Station conveniently located at the Torr Quarry Industrial Park a few miles north of Kingsbridge on the A381.

Here private and trade customers can bring their waste material for disposal. Waste is weighed and charged at £POA per tonne for mixed waste and £POA for builder’s rubble. The waste is then sorted into designated skips for disposal in the appropriate manner.

TV’s, Tyres, Batteries & fridges are accepted, but priced individually depending on size

PLEASE NOTE: Asbestos and Hazardous Waste is not accepted in any quantity
