Tom & The Team Welcome You To The Anchor Inn, a traditional yet contemporary, village inn with ten bedrooms available on a Bed and Breakfast basis, located in the Heart of Ugborough, South Devon. 

Ideally situated within a stones throw of Dartmoor National Park in Devon where the movie Warhorse was recently filmed, we’re the perfect base for exploring one of the UK’s most stunning landscapes. 

We’re also just on the edge of the glorious South Hams with it's array of wonderful beaches and coastal paths. If you want to hit the shops or take in a show, then the city of Plymouth is just twenty minutes away.

Our six bedrooms and four cabins have high ceilings, comfortable double beds with walk in showers or baths and our prices offer phenomenal value for the quality and comfort that we offer. 

If you just want a bite to eat, then our restaurant is open for lunch and dinner. Our menu, is delicious, seasonal and uncomplicated - a real gastro treat. If a pint and a snack is more your thing, then our pub is the place to be.

Welcome to The Anchor Restaurant ~ Our Chefs here work hard to create & produce Locally Sourced dishes for you to enjoy in our cosy restaurant, Bar or Beer Garden. Wether it be a bar snack or 3 course meal we have something for everyone.

We source the majority of our raw products from within a 50 mile radius of the Pub, supporting local Farmers, Fishermen and Wholesalers.

Pub

Our Inside Bar is still Open ~ There are restrictions in place to make sure everyone stays safe and guidlines are followed ~ You can book a table to drink and eat in the bar which is advisable ~|

Our welcoming pub has an open fire, local ales, a great wine list and a friendly atmosphere. Prop up the bar or sit down on the comfy chairs by the fire with a pint. We also have oak tables, chairs and window seats to sit down and have a pub lunch with friends, and  a flat screen tv if there's an important match on. we also have a monthly changing Guest ale, Follow us on instagram or facebook for this months offering.

The pub is open to everyone and we serve our menu in the bar as well as in the restaurant, so you're welcome to choose where you dine!

Outside Bar - Beer Garden

We have recently built an outside bar and extended our outdoor seating area, to comply with the governments regulations regarding covid. 

The Anchor Outside Bar Serves all your favourites that we sell inside, Draught Lagers, Cider & Ales alongside some fantastic wines, gins & Spirits. 

The Anchor Beer Garden has been Temporarly extended, occupying the car park for the summer months. With Sun all day long this is the place be, serving cold drinks and food Outside as well as in.  

Bed & Breakfast

We have ten great rooms available - six in the main inn and four cabins, situated in our court yard. Ranging in size and on a bed and breakfast basis in the beautiful little village of Ugborough, each room has a very comfortable bed and flat screen TV. They also have a gorgeous en-suite with showers or baths. Some of our rooms are also dog friendly incase you would like to bring your four legged friends with you, we do also provide dog beds and bowls. (there is an extra charge of £10 per room per stay for dogs)

The rooms are ideally suited to families and couples looking to get away on a short break or holiday to South Devon, the Dartmoor National Park and the South Hams people and to people on business looking for a comfortable alternative to the busy city.

Plus if you’d like a delicious lunch or dinner, our restaurant is open Monday to Sunday.  We serve lunch Monday to Saturday 12-2.00pm.  Dinner is served, Monday to Thursday between 6.30 and 9pm, Friday & Saturday between 6:30pm and 9pm.  On Sundays we serve lunch between 12pm and 3pm, and dinner between 6:30pm and 8:30pm, so you won't even have to worry about getting stuck for somewhere to eat. There is Parking available in the Village Square, a 10 second walk from the pub.
