A metal detectorist has found a ring on the beach in Thurlestone and is looking to track down its owner.

Johnny Christmas found the ring on Lees Foot Beach in Thurlestone and wants to return it to its rightful owner.

Johnny Christmas finding another ring on the beach

"Its an old ring, 1920s I think", Johnny said, "and whenever I find anything like this I try and track down the owner.

"I searched on the internet and the only thing I could find that fitted the description was an article about 'Maggie' from Aveton Gifford who lost her mother's ring in 2017.

"I'd love to track her down and return it to her."
