Boat towed back to Salcombe by RNLI after hitting rocks
Both lifeboats from Salcombe RNLI were launched to reports of a small vessel hitting rocks near Start Point.
Salcombe RNLI received a call at around 4.30pm on Wednesday, 5th May, to a report of a 21ft vessel hitting rocks near Start Point.
The ILB (Inshore Lifeboat) was about to launch on exercise so both she and the ALB (All-weather Lifeboat) launched to search for the stricken vessel, named Molly.
The casualty boat was "eventually located" off Prawle Point and was towed back to Salcombe Harbour.
