Ivybridge and Rural Police has posted advice about parking near junctions after recent complaints.

Their post read: "We understand that parking in and around Ivybridge will always be an ongoing issue and one that everyone likes to comment on.

"Most of the issues are purely down to using a little common sense and understanding.

"If you park near a junction please make sure you are far enough back to enable anyone exiting the junction in a vehicle can view both directions, in particular the right hand side where traffic is on the near side."

Highway Code rule 243: Park at least 10 metres away from a junction.  Basically the size of a bus.
