Kingsbridge Watch Manager Dave Harvey presented with long service medals

Kingsbridge Fire Station Watch Manager Dave Harvey has been presented with two long service awards. 

Assistant Chief Fire Officer Gerald Taylor arrived at the Kingsbridge Fire Station on Monday night to present Dave Harvey with the Fire and Rescue Service Long Service and Good Conduct Medal Thirty Years of Service Clasp.

A spokesperson for Kingsbridge Fire Station said: "The 30 year clasp is to be worn on the 20 year medal and is awarded by Royal Warrant on Command of Her Majesty, Dated 11 March 2022. 

"Dave joined the fire service on St Valentine’s Day in 1994 and has loved, pun intended, his time serving our community.

"Over the years Dave has sat in every seat on a fire engine and attended numerous incidents to assist residents and tourists within the South Ham’s. Whether as a fire fighter, driver or the officer in charge; Dave has done it all through his career with Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service.

"We our extremely proud to have Dave leading our station in Kingsbridge and trust that everyone will join our crew in thanking him for his continued service. THANK YOU DAVE."
