Kingsbridge Town Council and a group of local residents have come together to create a new mixed fruit community orchard.

The 25 trees were planed to create the prchard on Wallingford Road, as part of the town council's 120 tree initiative that they started last year.

Members of Kingsbridge Climate Action helped the tree planting effort.

A spokesperson for Kingsbridge Town Council said: "A big thank you to everyone who’s braved the drizzle today to help us complete our 120 tree initiative started last year.

"Amongst those who helped were Malissa and her daughter, Josie, who live opposite and said how much the orchard will enhance the area and in five years will be providing fruit for the community.

"None of this would have been possible without the help from Park Life South West, thank you."
