Totnes Fire Station crew was called to a telegraph pole fire on Christmas Day. 

Totnes Fire Station crew were called out at 2.30am on Christmas morning to a telegraph pole on fire.

A spokesperson for Totnes Fire Station said: "On arrival, we confirmed this was the case and requested Western Power to isolate it as it was live at 33,000 volts.

"Once we had this confirmed safe, we ensured the fire was out we had an early Christmas breakfast of sausage beans washed down with a hot chocolate.

"Luckily no properties were affected by this fire."
