Three local businesses given Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Award 2026

Three SouthHams.com members have been given a Tripadvisor Travellers Choice Awards 2026 - meaning they are in the Top 10% of places worldwide.

Tripadvisor gives a Travellers’ Choice award to accommodations, attractions and restaurants that consistently earn great reviews from travellers and are ranked within the top 10% of properties on Tripadvisor.

Three of our members, The Cottage Hotel in Hope Cove, Thurlestone Hotel in Thurlestone and Parkland Caravan, Camping and Glamping Site near Kingsbridge have all been given the award this year.

The Cottage Hotel

This prestigious accolade is based on genuine, independent reviews from guests over the past year, recognising businesses that consistently deliver excellent service, quality and memorable experiences.

Located in the heart of Hope Cove, The Cottage Hotel has long been known for its welcoming atmosphere, stunning coastal views, and attentive hospitality. The award reflects the continued support of guests who return year after year, as well as the dedication and hard work of the hotel’s team.

General Manager Neil Slade commented: “We are absolutely delighted to receive this recognition. It means a great deal to us because it is based on feedback from our guests. I am incredibly proud of our team, whose commitment to providing warm, personal service makes this possible.

“Hospitality is very much about people and we are fortunate to welcome such wonderful guests. This award is as much theirs as it is ours.”

The Cottage Hotel continues to invest in maintaining its high standards, ensuring that both new and returning guests enjoy a relaxing and memorable stay on the South Devon coast.

Thurlestone Hotel
