Moore Garden Rooms has evolved from CJ Moore Ltd, an established family run building business that has delivered professionally executed work since 2004. No one client or project is the same, and wish lists and expectations can vary vastly too. With our extensive knowledge and experience of the building trade, we can offer not only a Garden Room but a smoothly planned build from start to finish with good communication, flexibility, product knowledge and planning given at every stage.

HOME OFFICE

A space for all the modern equipment that is required for a home office.  Carefully considered lighting and natural lighting dependent on screen positioning is key.  The ability to partition areas where multiple work stations are required. Data cabling, electric points, wi-fi connectivity and networking are all important factors which make your Garden Room home office match any top companies office.

GAMES ROOM

A gaming heaven for any kid, teenager or adult alike who wants to escape and play or spend time with friends.  A state-of-the-art tv and built-in surround sound are a must for video game playing. Spacious enough for a full sized pool table, dart board, gaming table or juke box.  Warm, fully insulated & double-glazed, so perfect for all year round use.

FITNESS SUITE 

A bespoke garden gym or fitness space, just the way you want it, away from the house and no need to work your schedule around gym or class opening times.  A space for fitness instructors to carry out their classes either in a calm environment for Yoga or Pilates or a fully sound-proofed room, so no limit to the music level, for more energetic exercise like spin or Zumba.  An indoor or outdoor shower facility is ideal after exercise.

BEAUTY ROOM 

A quiet, tranquil space away from the hums and buzzes of home life but no commute to and from work.  Warm underfloor heating and soft dimmable mood lighting can be used to provide a safe haven for treatments.  Storage rooms and separate WC can form part of the space but kept separate from the treatment room itself. A hot tub discreetly positioned outside the garden room to finish off the perfect treatment.

TV ROOM

A 4K LED television screen with Sonos system built-in to let you escape in the world of movies, or perhaps an afternoon of live Football or F1 racing.  A rainy Sunday, a comfy corner sofa, a well stocked bar or coffee machine and all the equipment hidden within the wallmakes for a perfect Garden TV room.  An individual heating system either through wall radiators or underfloor heating keeps the temperature in tune with your house but can be switched off when not in use.

MUSIC ROOM

Fine tuning a space for your musical instruments to be played either within the four walls of your garden room with sound proofing systems including acoustic triple glazing, or high performance doors, opening windows and roof lights to enjoy your sounds throughout the garden or patio areas.  A space for music lessons to be taken without the hassle of studio rental costs and travel. Or a private space for your own music to be made.

EXTERNAL FEATURES

Choose the external cladding from cedar wood to cultured cedar cladding.  Bi-fold door units open up the room bringing your outside garden in. Windows can range from fixed glazing to create a feature wall or a traditional opening window.  Roof and sky lights create a natural light and airy space. Roof type can vary from a clean flat zinc or fiberglass roof to a wonderful sedum roof using nature to surround your space.  Incorporating the lighting detail, decking, hot tubs, outside shower and seating areas are all bespoke features we can offer.

UNIQUE CRAFTSMANSHIP

Designing your own space requires time, communication and attention to detail – this is something that comes naturally to us.  We employ three Carpenters employed so our finishing is of the highest quality. Bespoke features of reclaimed wood elements, scaffold board clad walls, zinc wrapped bar tops and cast iron details make each Moore Garden Room unique.

We are careful about selecting the best quality materials for our buildings.  All materials are sourced from local suppliers whom we have used for many years through our building company C J Moore Ltd.  

FAQS

Q – Will I require Planning Permission?
A – Yes if any of the following apply –

• Your room is to be erected within the grounds of a listed building, an area of outstanding natural beauty or on green belt area land
• You are using the building as accommodation
• Your room exceeds 30sqm
• Your room stands taller than 4m once erected
• Your room room will cover more than 50% or more of your grounds
• Your room has a maximum overall height over 2.5m and is positioned within 2m of your boundary
• The room stands forward of the principal elevation of your house, fronting the road

We can help you with the Planning Permissions, making the application right through to Building Regulations conditions.

Q – Will my Garden Room have to comply with Building Regulations?
A – This is fully dependent on specification of the Garden Room, but we offer full advise during the whole process of the build.

Q – What about Internet Connectivity?
A – We have various solutions in order to provide connection in the Garden Rooms.  Sending Broadband signal through power cables back to the main residence, or alternatively network cabling from the home.  A full site survey can determine these requirements.

Q – Are the Garden Rooms pre-fabricated?
A – No, our Garden Rooms are all constructed on site using a timber frame construction on a concrete sub base.  Unlike many other national companies offering rooms similar to ours, we do not make any of the structure off site, making Moore Garden Rooms a totally bespoke option.

Q – What is included?
A – Our Garden Rooms are totally unique to the client; the specification is entirely up to the individual.  We can offer various finishes internally and externally working towards all budgets. No two garden rooms are the same.
