Last week in court - who appeared and why. 

Joseph Robert Collins, 33, of Nelson Road, Dartmouth, appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court on Thursday, 16 March, having previously pleaded guilty breached a domestic violence protection order made by Exeter Magistrates Court on 13 March. 

Collins was committed to prison for six weeks. 

 

Benjamin William Patrick Clarke, 33, of Fairway Avenue, Ivybridge, appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court on Monday, 13 March, having previously pleaded guilty to failing to comply with a suspended sentence order made by South and West Devon Magistrates Court by failing to attend probation supervision appointments and unpaid work placements.

Clarke's suspended sentence for possession of a knife was adjusted. Order now committed to prison for three months suspended for 24 months and was fined £100. 

 

Cassandra Power, 18, of Parkdean Holidays, Challaborough, appeared at Plymouth Magistrates Court after being found guilty in her absence of travelling on Great Western Railway without paying a fare of £13.30 on 19 September 2022. 

Power was fined £220, ordered to pay compensation of £13.30, a surcharge of £88 and court costs of £180.
